- Lecture outline
- As technologies like generative AI begin to impact society in unpredictable ways, it is becoming crucial for companies to conduct their business activities not just from a technological perspective, but also with diverse knowledge of the humanities and social sciences. In July 2025, Mercari, Inc. and Osaka University established the Mercari R4D Research Alliance Laboratory. With Mercari as its field of study, the laboratory conducts a wide range of humanities and social sciences-related research to realize a society that circulates all forms of value. In this lecture, we introduce our aims for establishing a cooperative laboratory, main research topics, and future outlook.
