On July 14, 2020 (Tuesday), the “Trend Tamago” corner of TV Tokyo’s economic news program World Business Satellite (WBS), featured the Poimo personal mobility device jointly developed by mercari R4D and the University of Tokyo.

Announcer Miyu Iketani test-drove Poimo in the TV Tokyo office and experienced the drivability and fun of this new mobility. In addition, the program covered the operability of Poimo, how it actually inflates with air, its ease of carrying, and future challenges involved with driving on public roads.

The studio announcer Mariko Oe commented, “Some people don’t really want to get on the train during the coronavirus pandemic right now, so it would be nice to be able to travel by Poimo.” mercari R4D will continue to carry out research and development for future social implementation.
