Quantum

We conduct research on quantum computing and quantum networks aimed at realizing next-generation computing and communication infrastructures. We explore quantum error correction technologies for quantum computing and quantum networking technologies that connect multiple quantum computers, as well as applications using quantum computation. Through these efforts, we aim to build scalable and practical quantum information infrastructures.

Research Topics

Research and development of quantum computing architecture

We conduct research and development toward fault-tolerant quantum computation (FTQC), focusing on neutral atom quantum computers and similar technologies. In particular, we research practical quantum error correction (QEC) and distributed quantum computing for large-scale systems.

Research and development of the quantum internet

Through research and development on technologies required for scaling quantum communication and quantum networks, we aim to realize a quantum internet that will serve as the infrastructure supporting information and communication in the coming quantum-native era.

Exploring applications of quantum technology

We envision future societies in which quantum technologies are deeply integrated into everyday life, and explore use cases and applications that contribute to Mercari Group’s mission to create a world where all forms of value are circulated.
