Profile

Miyuki Fujiwara is a Doctor of Philosophy at Graduate School of Language and Society, Hitotsubashi University(GENSHA). Her areas of expertise include reading comprehension, semantics and vocabulary, and Japanese language education. From April 2013 to March 2019, she worked as a part-time project researcher for the National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics (NINJAL), a research institute operated by the Inter-University Research Institute Corporation’s “National Institutes for the Humanities.” She is involved in building a reading comprehension corpus for people whose native language is not Japanese. From November 2020 until April 2022, she served as a specially appointed lecturer at the Nagoya University Education and Research Center for Japanese Law, working in partnership with Tashkent State University of Law in Uzbekistan. In November of 2020, she became a guest researcher for Mercari R4D. She joined Mercari, Inc. in June 2022.
