Mikawa Natsuyo, in charge of outreach at R4D, spoke on the podcast Circular Economy Research Institute Radio hosted by the Circular Economy Research Institute by Mercari in an episode titled “#6_Turning Reuse into Entertainment. Visualizing the Sustainable Future Created By Individuals’ Actions on a Giant 9-Meter Screen.”
From Friday, November 28 to Sunday, November 30, 2025, Mercari, Inc. held “Mercari Green Friday Project 2025: Reuse Fashion Park.” The event took place at +Base 1 (NEWoMan Takanawa South 2F) in Tokyo, Japan, and proposed ways to enjoy sustainable fashion through reusing and repairing clothing.
At the event, R4D ran an initiative called “Green Signal” that announced the amount of CO₂ emissions avoided from the reuse activities happening live at the venue on an hourly basis. On the podcast, Natsuyo explained the intention behind the project from a research outreach perspective.
