The University of Tokyo’s Research Institute for an Inclusive Society through Engineering and Mercari, Inc. (together, the “Organizers”) have defined this Code of Conduct for the Value Exchange Engineering Symposium to provide all participants with a safe, secure, and valuable experience in accordance with the purpose of the event. We ask that all participants read and understand this Code of Conduct and communicate respectfully and politely throughout the event.
The Value Exchange Engineering Symposium (the “Symposium”) will delve into this young research field to examine both where it stands today as well as where it is headed for the future. In addition to participation from experts and researchers active in the field, the Symposium also aims to advance dialogue with the public.
The person making you uncomfortable might not realize how they are affecting you. Let us know through the point of contact in section 5 if someone harasses you or makes you feel uncomfortable, or if you have any other concerns. Also, let us know if you see someone engaging in harassment or making someone else uncomfortable.
In the event a participant engages in prohibited conduct, the Organizers will give said participant a warning and delete any offending messages. If the participant continues to engage in prohibited conduct despite repeated warnings, we may ask them to leave the online event and/or ban them from attending any future events. Participants in the Symposium agree to promptly and unconditionally abide by all instructions given by the Organizers. If you have any questions or concerns, contact us through the form linked in section 5.
